GOING DIGITAL

Melodic Revolution Records is finally joining the digital revolution. We are working the bugs out as we speak. But should have everything worked out in the next week or so. Now we will be able to offer better service to our valued customers. We have decided to add this feature to many of our titles as we seem to be in an age where more and more people are downloading their favorite music vs. purchasing the hard copy CD. You will now be able to purchase individual tracks as well the entire album.

This will not happen overnight as it will take time to implement and upload this music that said we will notify you as we have new titles up. Our first Digital Release will be Rick Andrews Self tiled Release. Recommended if you like Joe Satriani, Steve Via, & George Bellas This is a real gem.

Do not fear we will continue stocking selling and promoting CDs and Vinyl for those of us that are pure audiophile nuts and must own everything that a band has to offer in every format.

Coordinator Steve Sly of Prog Day Steps down after 12 year run
1997 - 2009

The following is from a bulletin posted on myspace. After much thought and consideration I have made the decision to step down as the overall coordinator for ProgDay. This has not been an easy decision for me nor one that I have taken lightly. ProgDay is a very special event, and has been a part of my life for more than a decade now. There is no one specific reason why I have chosen not to continue with the festival, but there are several factors in both my personal and professional life that have led me this decision. ProgDay is a year round activity that requires a significant investment of time, money, and sweat to pull off. In the end I think I have just burned out on it to an extent and feel that this is a good time to pull away. I have made many very good friends over the years with my association with ProgDay, and appreciate the extreme effort and hard work that everyone in the organization has put in to be able to pull the festival off each year.

The good news is that the ProgDay organization is still intact and plans for the 2010 edition of the festival are progressing as I write this. More announcements will be coming soon regarding next year.

Finally I would like to thank everyone that I have worked with in the ProgDay organization and everyone who has attended the festival in the past 12 years. I am sure I will see many of you down the road at various prog related events and future ProgDays.

Metal Mind Productions proudly presents the first DVD of one of the most important progressive rock bands - Riverside!

Riverside, the band hailing from Warsaw, Poland, can best be described as a stylistic blend of atmospheric rock and metal elements, resulting in a sound similar to that of Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Dream Theater, and Tool, while still maintaining an identity of their own. Since the release of their debut album, Riverside have built a solid fan base in progressive rock genre.

Within Temptation - Go Acoustic

According to a blog on there myspace page Within Temptation are proud to announce the release of our acoustic live album 'An Acoustic Night at the Theatre'!
It features some of their favorite songs which were re-arranged for an acoustic theatre-tour the band did last year. WT are really excited about this release as it shows a completely different side of Within Temptation. They look forward to your reactions on this album. We look forward to some reviews as well.

Osada Vida - Invite you to their Dreams

Osada Vida, one of the best progressive rock bands from Poland, returns this Autumn with their third full-length album - “Uninvited Dreams”. The album will be released by Metal Mind Productions on 23rd November in Europe and 1st December in USA (via MVD) in two editions: as a standard jewel case CD and as a digipak with 3 bonus tracks.
