The Final Sting

Press Release from the Scorpions:
"It was always our pleasure, our purpose in life, our passion and we were fortunate enough to make music for you - whether it was live on stage or in the studio, creating new songs. While we were working on our album these past few months, we could literally feel how powerful and creative our work was – and how much fun we were still having, in the process. But there was also something else: We want to end the Scorpion's extraordinary career on a high note. We are extremely grateful for the fact that we still have the same passion for music we've always had since the beginning.

This is why, especially now, we agree we have reached the end of the road. We finish our career with an album we consider to be one of the best we have ever recorded and with a tour that will start in our home country Germany and take us to five different continents over the next few years.

We want you, our fans, to be the first to know about this. Thank you for your never-ending support throughout the years! We uploaded the very first snippets from our new album for you. And now… let's get the party started and get ready for a “Sting in the Tail”!
See you on the world tour, Yours...Scorpions."

PAT METHENY Releases Orchestrion

'Now,' says Pat Metheny, 'ten years into the new century, it feels like time to try to create something particularly connected to the reality of this unique period in time.' What he's come up with, Orchestrion, is an adventurous 'solo' recording that pairs the composer-guitarist with a phalanx of remarkable, custom-made instruments played via solenoid switches and pneumatics, resulting in the most original set of his career.

Stewart, Fanning rock movie fans in "Runaways"
By Bob Tourtellotte

PARK CITY, Utah (Reuters) – They gained movie stardom playing wholesome young girls, but when fans see Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart in upcoming "The Runaways," they will find a new side -- a wild one -- to the teen actresses.

The movie, about the all-girl teenage rock band of the same name co-founded by Joan Jett in the 1970s, debuted here at the Sundance Film Festival late Sunday to solid reviews, and it hits movie theaters this coming March.

Ostara - is the 3rd release for Wishing Tree

The Wishing Tree is an acoustic music project by Marillion's guitarist Steve Rothery and British vocalist Hannah Stobart who has a lovely ethereal quality to her voice.

Ostara features some delicate and ghostly harmonies, mandolin and understated guitars providing an elegant backdrop to the vocals. Rothery excels himself, playing some fine acoustic guitars and when he lets go with one of his trademark solos, he, as ever, makes the instrument sing.

This CD features live bonus performances of 'Ostara' and 'Fly', along with a live video of 'Fly'.
